I've been hoping for months, but barely speculated by others.....
19" & 22" Merom-based iMacs (current iMacs already look "old" to me)
Don't think so. Even a 23" iMac would seem more likely. See, the 17" iMac already has the 19" panel resolution, dito for 20" and 22". It would add little value.
 backlit slim USB2 keyboard
I'd say highly unlikely. As far as I remember Apple always has had one line of such accesories.
new category: home theater component-sized Conroe-based Mac (no Cube/MiniTower; Woodcrest goes into Mac Pros)
Would be really cool, especially if it comes with Tivo functionality!
iLife, iPhone & all other rumors seem like smokescreen.
Agreed. iLife is a Januari product, and I don't think WWDC is a good time for the iPhone.
Please, ACD's!

You gonna call them liars?
Yeah, why not. They're liars.
And the Core 2 processor is a bad processor, it's got "2" in the name and sequels always suck.
To be honest MM, time you took a chill pill and had a nice lie-down.

Pushing the iPhone 5, along with iOS 5, to the fall really wouldn't surprise me at all. In fact it would seem a little weird if Apple were to finally release a white iPhone 4 and then release an iPhone 5 a month or two later... even if they have constantly kept "last years" model around at a discount previously. Maybe the white iPhone will be and iPhone 5...
The more probable result is that the white iPhone 4 will simply never be.
By this time, Foxconn is most likely shifting production of the iPhone 4 for the $99 price point and gearing up to produce lots of iPhone 5s for the summer.
I'm starting to wonder if a Iphone 5 is even going to come out this year i mean with the Verizon IPhone launched in February "kinda close to June - July IMO" so they might wait tell june of next year where we get AT&T and a Verizon IPhone upgrades.
Most of the iPhone's sales come from outside the United States, where GSM is the standard. Apple can't afford to lag behind other companies in those international markets so they will most likely not slip on shipping the iPhone 5 to much later than the previous models' date.

Surely not beyond them to focus on the software but then announce some upgrades to the iMac or Mini or MacBook as they'll all be due for updates if they don't get done before then. I wouldn't be surprised if they hold off on iPhone 5 though.

So I've played with the TomTom iPhone Car Kit for a couple of days and here's my initial observations.
* I do not like the bluetooth speaker phone built-in for phone calls. It is far inferior to my BluAnt, but luckily it seems I can have both connected and easily switch back and forth.
* Lastly, this is the thing that may make me return it...it rattles, as it is not built very well!! Where the car kit spins to landscape, it is just a little too loose of a setup. Does everyone else have this problem or do I have a defective unit? Would love to know if its worth bothering to exchange it. Thanks!
I had two different TomTom iPhone Car Kits that I returned because of the bluetooth speaker phone. It would keep breaking up and I was unable to hear all of the other party's conversation. I had mine in the vertical position so I did not notice any rattle. I have ordered the Magellan Premium car kit which from early indications performs better for the bluetooth and positioning.

2.16 and 2.33 Merom options
Magnetic latch
MacBook style keyboard
New video card (Nvidia?)
160GB hard drive option
IMO, these are the least that Apple can do to keep up with other high performance notebooks in the market. I think new MBP's will arrive one the same day as Photokina although they may not be highlighted at the event.

Hilarious that companies are copying Apple rumors now.
Arn, we need an article that Apple is developing a space ship!
Yes, it is totally unfair that Amazon copies the inventions of Apple, even before Apple invents it :D
Seriously though, Amazon is a major player in cloud services and has been for years.

So someone forced you to read *and* comment on a story titled clearly "Motorola Xoom Tablet Sales: ..." ? Or was that not enough of a clue ?
My point was not that I don't want to see stories about Android devices on a Apple-centric site, or hear valid arguments for both sides, because then I truly would be closed-minded as some may believe.
I love discussing the pros and cons of different technological devices with others who's opinions may differ from my own. However, is it too much to ask that rabid, Android proselytizers, refrain from flooding a forum with baseless, biased, bs in order to "put us in our place" or preach the gospel of Andriod?
The same goes for Apple fanatics trolling on Android sites. If you can't put aside your ridiculous prejudices when discussing things, you ain't helpin' the cause, if you know what I mean...on either side.

I'm hoping for a streaming device with a remote that allows me access to media on my mac from my TV. Of course Apple will overly simplify it and limits it's capabilities, but well love it anyways.

WHAT RIGHT DOE"S APPLE HAVE
to act like big brother and control what another company does?
Steve Jobs started off with Apple to fight "the man" yet he is the man.
Microsoft would never do this, they know better because thousands of Apple fans would be on the internet with Safari posting the most vile crap you would ever want to read.
Why do the Apple fans allow this to continue? what is so great about a company that lies about who they are?
While Apple makes some innovative cool tech toys this behavior continues to prove who they are a controlling Money grubbing capitalistic company!
I will revel in the day that Jailbreaking goes to court again and Apple is told once and for all they can't tell everyone what to do and must allow Jailbreaking. Yes it will happen, what comes around goes around.

NEWS:
November 23, 2006 CNN
NEW YORK (AP) -- Cell phone owners will be allowed to break software locks on their handsets in order to use them with competing carriers under new copyright rules announced Wednesday.
Given the above news, NO cellphone company may soon be subsidizing ANY phones.
Well, it's a totally separate subject that's off-topic for this thread, but I would like to quote one single sentence from the related CNN news article.
The new rules will take effect Monday and expire in three years.
So, here's my question: If these rights are so important and have been recognized as being so important, then why would they want to deliberately sunset those same laws? Something here doesn't smell right.

Wasn't there a decent price difference between the PB 12" and the 15" but had the same processor? I have no idea. I'm really just asking because i'm curious.
Yes, but the difference in price has been smaller. But then there is no 12" or 13" MBP available and the 15" have additional differences, which could justify a price difference.
I guess they will introduce Meroms a bit later into the MacBooks, but not too long after the MacBook Pros (unlike the iBooks which got the G4 about 2 years after the Powerbooks).

Doing it through the app store mares it more advertised and more users will be able to just upgrade. Whereas before u had to somehow hear about it and then take a drive to the store. Now it's easier and more advertised but you now have these "problems". So it will probably be available in the app store but u can burn it to a disc if u want, or purchase it from a apple store. But apple wants the primary distribution point to be the app store.

Jeez. You have to a moron of epic proportions to go this route for a car GPS.
Because?
I use the TomTom app with a DLO vent mount, car charger and stereo with 3.5mm input. Total cost including the mount was about AU $100.
I had a Navman S45 which cost $280, heavily discounted. It was stolen from my car (I'd hidden everything, but they broke in anyway :() and the TomTom/iPhone route is actually more convenient for me because:
1. I now get voice instructions over the car speakers
2. I don't have to worry about my GPS being stolen from my car
3. I can navigate to anyone in my address book without having to enter an address (assuming I have it to begin with)
4. I don't have to juggle car chargers. Dedicated GPS's don't last long without them, neither do iPhones that are pumping music for long periods :)
5. My nav app is now with me everywhere, I don't get the "Oh man I wish I brought my Navman" problem anymore.
Granted, I didn't pay $150+ for the cradle. But even if I did, it would still be cheaper than the S45 and does a much better job IMO. Note I have the TomTom, but any of the other two nav apps would likely be the same experience.
Maybe it's just me, but I think the convenience far outweighs the cost. Although the fact that we Australians get raped on GPS prices probably doesn't help :)

That's a shame. I'd like to get a 3rd party SSD but would prefer to wait till using TRIM with it is officially supported by Mac OS X.
Yeah same here. Apple's SSD's are crap.

We were all wrong but we won't admit it so now we say that it's an internal secret ...
It's funny if Apple is going to use App Store then the GM can be a month or mre closer to release date than when they distributed on disk. Why would they in that case make it months earlier?
It was all very silly, but how many of us expect reasonable journalism anymore anyway.

I just upgraded to a (2011) 13" MBP and I'm still trying to get a 32 GB iPad 2 (Wi-Fi only) as my first iOS device. I'm giving my old (2010) 13" MBP to a friend.
But later this year, when my mortgage is paid off, I might spring for my first iPhone (although i'm still concerned the small screen may be unmanageable for me... due to vision issues which may, or may not, be resolved later this year).
Also, when my mortgage is paid off, I'll consider getting a MobileMe account and next year perhaps a 128 GB iPad 3 (Wi-Fi + LTE/G3 GSM). If I get that iPad 3, I'll give my old iPad 2 to a friend.
But all this is a matter of treating myself to toys that I do not really need. First I need to focus on financial fundamentals like paying off my mortgage.
Mortgage? Ahhhhh, MORTgage mortgage mortGAGE.
Mortgage.

They sold well over 1 million desktops/workstation units last quarter and will surpass that quite handily this quarter.
People who think they know Apple's long term strategy as iOS only know nothing of Apple.
Out of curiosity then, what is the long term strategy of Apple? Educate us.

I don't see how you can say that. None the less how anyone can confidently answer this question.
You arrive at 288 by multiplying 48/2 * (9+3), but that is assuming multiplication is the implied operator.
Multiplication is always what you do when there is a term directly adjacent the ()
balamw & dukebound85:
You guys are making too many assumptions.
Following your thought process, the original post is not properly written then?
No assumptions are being made to get 288, but assumptions are being made to get 2. That is the point
There is nothing wrong with how the original post is written from a mathematical point of view as it produces a definite result.
However, if the author of the equation meant for all that to be under the denominator, it is not properly written.
If he did not mean for it to be, it is written in a proper manner but could be written in a clearer form such as (48/2)(9+3). However, that is identical to 48/2(9+3)

i think it only restores health that was lost, up to your level.
since we just started we are at full health, so it has no effect.
i don't know if we can come back later and use it, or take it with us and use it later.
i would imagine we can, otherwise it seems kind of pointless to put this treasure in the first room (unless treasure placement was done randomly).
do we get a map of the next room? are there any other doors?
EDIT: i see we have a map, but shouldn't we see the next room?
I updated the map, look at above post.
And nope, the healing treasure is gone forever. I put it there because I'm cruel. :D
