Go Gaga. The extraordinary album of Lady Gaga "The Fame" has become the first album to reach platinum level for downloads, the Official Charts Company can confirm today.
The album passed 300,000 downloads yesterday, giving Lady Gaga another record ahead of the May release of her new album, Born This Way. The video for the Born This Way single can be viewed here on the left.
Since The Fame was released in November 2009, it has sold a total of 2.5m copies in the UK. It has also produced a million-selling single (Poker Face) and three platinum singles (Poker Face, Bad Romance and Just Dance) on the way to amounting a huge 4.8m single sales.
